Young Steinway Alumni Concert

Piano Trio with Rachel Barton Pine

Enjoy both solo piano works and trio excerpts by Johannes Brahms and Maurice Ravel. Violinist Rachel Barton Pine, pianist Kenneth Wishner, and cellist Peter Szczepanek perform.

The program covers the early, middle, and later periods of Brahms' life. The focus for Ravel is the period just before and after he served as an ambulance driver for the French Army during WW1, a pivotal period for Ravel both artistically and personally. The performers will provide brief introductions and context in this musical exploration.

Rachel Barton Pine performed on the Young Steinway Concert Series when she was young, and we welcome her back as a Young Steinway alumna!
