The Out Side Author Panel

The Out Side, an anthology of transgender and nonbinary autobiographical comics, has just been released to an international readership.

In celebration of International Transgender Day of Visibility, check out our panel of comics creators for a lively discussion of their works and other LGBT+ topics.

In recent years, trans-themed comics have had a huge impact on how the trans community is understood by readers and at times how readers see themselves. What are the next steps for trans comics creators now that the eyes of the world are upon them? Can authentic stories bring understanding to contentious issues?

Featuring moderator The Kao (Magical Boy, The Out Side) and panelists Sage Coffey (The Out Side, Wine Ghost), Dashi (The Out Side), Vixtopher (The Out Side), Nasr Bin Safwan (The Out Side), and Mel Valentine Vargas (The Out Side, Yacqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass).

Following the panel, we will have an author signing.
