Two-Part Information Session and Workshop

Criminal records can create barriers to employment, education, and housing opportunities.

The Moran Center provides free assistance for adults looking to expunge or seal their Cook County criminal records.

In the August 17 information session of this two-part clinic, Moran Center staff will explain the expungement and record sealing process in Cook County. Attendees who want help clearing their record can do an intake with Moran Center staff during this event.

Before the second session, Moran Center staff will look up individuals' records to determine eligibility for expungement or record sealing. Those who are eligible may attend the second workshop session. If you need to take additional steps to become eligible, the Moran Center will contact you directly so that you have the opportunity to participate in the second workshop session.

In the September 21 session, attendees eligible for expungement or record sealing will work with a Moran Center staff member to finalize their paperwork for filing.

Limited to 20 participants. Participants must attend the August 17 session in order to attend the September 21 session.
