The Hadhad family, refugees from the Syrian civil war, are offered sponsorship in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, to rebuild their lives. Based on a true story. Tareq Hadhad was studying medicine, while his father was the best chocolatier in Syria. As father and son work to pursue their dreams, give back to their new community, and inspire other refugees, they also must navigate their differing aspirations and find common ground before tensions drive them apart.
