Working on a book? Interested in starting to write one or enhancing your process? For any type of book, seeing it through from concept to launch involves many steps.

Presenter John Wendell Adams is the author of the Jack Alexander trilogy; made up of Betrayal, Payback, and Ruthless. His most recent novel was a finalist for the New Generation Indie Book Award, thriller category. He'll use his own experience and decisions to walk participants through the process of creating a book and getting it out into the world. Whether you already have a finished novel or are simply curious about the process, this session will touch on important considerations throughout this journey.

Before writing fiction, John wrote A Man’s Story, a motivational series for men. He spent more than 30 years in business working as a senior leader for IBM, CDI, Aragon Consulting, Berclain, and SaYes Consulting.

Some things to consider:

* Why are you writing a book?
* How about your first draft? Why do you need readers of your manuscript?
* Why have an editor? What about a cover designer or a typesetter?
* What are the pros and cons of traditional publishing and self-publishing?
* How do you choose a publisher?
* What is an ISBN, and why is it important?
* What are the advantages and disadvantages of selling online?
* Why choose to create an eBook or an audiobook?
