Caregivers of and professionals who work with kids and young adults, ages 6-24, learn about youth mental health awareness, assessment, and referral.

Originally developed in response to pandemic-related concerns observed by families and professionals who work with youth,  a representative from Ascension Illinois will provide an overview that can be tailored for participants' specific needs. Topics may include:

  • Hot topics in mental health
  • Assessment
  • Substances/medication use
  • Treatment
  • De-escalation
  • Self-care
  • Referrals
  • Scenarios

Registration closes at 3 pm on Thursday, May 23. Registrants will then receive an optional survey to complete, along with the Zoom link.

Participants who complete the workshop and survey will receive 2.5 continuing education credits through Ascension Illinois, which is funded by SAMHSA.
