Family Cooking Workshop--Apple Cinnamon Bread

Chef Michael teaches cooking skills as we make apple cinnamon bread. For all ages (we recommend that an adult work with young children).

Required ingredients include:

For the dough

• 3/4 cup milk
• 1/4 cup butter
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 package quick/RapidRise yeast
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (or water)
• 1 egg, lightly beaten

For the apple filling

• 3-4 apples, peeled and diced
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 2 tbsp cornstarch

For the glaze

• 3/4 cup powdered sugar
• 1 tbsp butter, melted
• 3 tsp apple cider or milk
• 1 tsp vanilla

Required equipment includes:

• knife
• cutting board
• large mixing bowls
• stand mixer (optional)
• measuring cups
• whisk
• parchment paper
• bread/loaf pan
